the ultrasound.

so everyone was expecting to know the sex of the baby yesterday, but my appointment was magically lost by the healthcare fairies. so, i had to reschedule for october 5th, at 11:45 am. so everyone can hound me then.

at this point is when i started wearing maternity clothes and using rubberbands to close my jeans.

people keep requesting belly pictures to see how huge i am getting, so i will post the two i have so far.
you can already see some pretty sweet stretch marks at the 3 month photo.

second ultrasound

the second ultrasound was taken at about 10 weeks, and already there was a huge difference. you can see the giant head and the little limbs and the baby was going absolutely nuts. marques got to be there with me for this one, which made it so much more fun, because i felt like i was cheating getting to see the baby before he did.

the baby is incredibly active and was flipping all around and swimming from side to side in my belly.

on august 25th, we had another appointment where we got to listen to the heartbeat, which was difficult for the doctor to find because of how much the baby moves, but once she found it, it was pretty amazing. i already like this baby so much.

catching up.

we are now 16 weeks and 2 days pregnant. i found out quite early, so i feel like i have been pregnant forever already. i want to start getting real big already. mom took me maternity clothes shopping and i feel not big enough to wear a lot of them since i still fit in most of my pre-pregnancy clothes. (although, i do NOT fit in any of my pre-pregnancy pants.)

our first ultrasound was taken at about 8 weeks, and the baby only looked like a tiny blur. you can see, to the left, the blur in between positive signs.
